About us
English Enrichment Center began in our kitchen and we are so grateful that we followed our passion! I’ve always been an educator whether I was teaching in elemenatry school or helping my children navigate through middle and high school. I believe every parent is a child’s first teacher. May be that’s why after a 4 year hiatus from work when my older child graduated in 2011, I needed to go back to teaching. Only this time I brought my years of teaching to the table and made my own curriculum to help students excel in English. Teaching a smaller group of students and helping them to gain confidence as they progress in English has been the most fullfilling decision I have made. I am indebted to my students’ parents who spread the word around and made it necessary for me to go looking for rental offices within the first couple of years! It’s been fourteen years now, and we still haven’t had to advertise our services. Whenever you let the heart lead and add a dash of sincerity and hard work, you will yield the best results. At this point, my own children have flown the coop, and I feel blessed to continue to be a part of students’ journey as it ensures I am surrounded with enthusiasim, positivity, and learning. Our English Enrichment Center family has expanded to include over 250 children!
Anil, my husband, joined the company nine years ago. He has a masters degree in Applied Math and over 30 plus years work experience in the software industry. His friends, colleagues, and our CA were taken aback when he decided to turn his back on a six figure salary and offer math classes in English Enrichment Center! However, it wasn’t something I was taken aback with because his retirement plan always included teaching math “the way it ought to be introduced.” This experiment during his sabbatical opened the door to a new life style. He enjoys teaching elementary, middle, and high school students and offers SAT/ACT/AP coaching as well. Ask him about his plans now, and he doesn’t ever want to retire!
Our mission is to build a strong foundation in your children, through creative lesson plans and prompts.
